The spell · Overview

A creature does not say what it asks of you until you are already in the fight, the net or its pocket. This one hangs the answer above its head, coloured by whether you are ready, so you can choose before you commit.

The spell · Overview

Its effects · Features

  • Implings show the Hunter level needed to catch them, from baby to crystal, green when you have it and red when you do not.
  • Creatures you can attack within 8 tiles show their combat level, coloured against yours: green when it is four or more below, yellow up to three below or level with you, orange up to three above, and red beyond that.
  • Where a creature also asks for a Slayer or Thieving level, that requirement sits beside its combat level, and the box turns red until you meet it.
  • Pickpocket targets within 8 tiles show the Thieving level they need, green when you have it and red when you do not.
  • Each requirement carries its skill’s icon. Grey means a level could not be read.

Wards · Limitations

Combat boxes check level gates only. Slayer tasks, equipment, quests and other requirements are not checked.

Slayer and Thieving requirements come from tables that ship with it, so a creature they do not list shows its combat level alone.

The box sits a fixed height above each creature, so very tall, flying or oddly anchored models can show it in the wrong place.
