Runic Attunement Helper

runic-attunement-helper

A charm of fair trade. Weighs every consumable on your runecrafting trip and, when the attuner lets you choose any altar, names the one that pays best.

beta0.4.0tested on 2.12.1.0

The spell · Overview

Answers one question per trip: at the altar you are on, with the gear and consumables you actually have, is this trip worth it, and is each consumable paying for itself? Every figure is per trip, in gold, and net of what that consumable costs on the Grand Exchange, so a positive number means it pays for itself.

  • Internet access, for Grand Exchange prices

Its effects · Features

  • Prices the trip you are about to do and says whether it is worth it.
  • Gives every consumable and perk its own verdict, so you can see which single item is carrying the trip.
  • Compares all three Runecrafting potion tiers side by side, each with its own verdict.
  • On trips where the attuner lets you choose any altar, ranks every altar you can reach by what a trip is worth there, using the essence and gear you have right now, and picks the best for you.
  • Reads the attuner itself for the altar, your absorbed energy and your Teleport charge, so the panel and the game agree.
  • Counts the essence you are carrying, including pouches and the ethereal outfit, and prices only the essence that can craft the selected rune.
  • Detects your worn gear, your quests and your Morytania diary progress rather than asking you to declare them.
  • Records the bonus runes your ordinary trips actually give, and says how many of your own trips stand behind a figure.

Incantations · Settings

Everything here lives on the Setup tab. Nothing is stored in a file you edit by hand. Where a value is read from the game it is a default rather than a lock: whatever you set stays put until the game's own answer changes. The lines under Detected are read only.

SettingDefaultEffect
SettingAltarDefaultRead from the attunerEffectWhich altar the trip is at. Drives every figure on the page. Keeps your last choice when no attuner is worn.
SettingEnergyDefaultRead from the attunerEffectYour absorbed attuner energy, out of 49. Decides whether the trip carries the bonus.
SettingRC LevelDefaultRead at loadEffectYour Runecrafting level, capped at 110. The boosted level used for the multiplier is not capped. If it cannot be read, your last saved level is used, and 1 on a first run.
SettingTrip lengthDefault2:00EffectHow long a trip takes, which decides how much of a potion it uses. Measured from your own trips once there are two to go on, or set by hand in steps of 30 seconds, from 0:30 to 10:00.
SettingKeep drinkingDefaultOne tripEffectOne trip charges the whole dose to this trip. Chaining charges only the share a trip uses, for a potion redrunk across a run of trips.
SettingTeleportDefaultRead from the attunerEffectWhether a Teleport charge is held. Read straight from the attuner, not worked out from your energy.
SettingPolishing and rankDefaultOffEffectThe Polishing perk and its rank, R1 to R4. The rank row appears only while the perk is on.
SettingWild Runes and rankDefaultOffEffectThe Wild Runes perk and its rank, R1 to R5. The rank row appears only while the perk is on.
SettingAnimaDefaultMatches the stone you carryEffectWhether an anima stone is used. Follows whether you carry the right stone for the selected rune, and can be overridden until that changes.
SettingPowerburstDefaultOffEffectWhether a powerburst of sorcery is used.
SettingTime altarDefaultFrom your level and questsEffectWhether the Time altar is unlocked. Starts Unlocked at level 100 with Making History or Meeting History done, and Locked otherwise. The plugin can see your level and quest, but not whether you have taken the enchanted key to the ruins, so set it here. Your choice is kept.
SettingHero's WelcomeDefaultDetectedEffectQuest completion, read rather than asked about. Shown as a line rather than a toggle so a silently applied bonus is visible.
SettingBinding rod and Lvl 20 toolDefaultDetectedEffectRead from worn equipment. An augmented rod shows its item level. An unaugmented one reads Not augmented.
SettingEtherealDefaultDetectedEffectWhich pieces of the Infinity ethereal outfit are worn and what is missing from it. Other ethereal outfits are not recognised.
SettingRing of ImbuingDefaultDetectedEffectRead from worn equipment.
SettingMorytania legs 2DefaultDetectedEffectRead from your Morytania achievement progress. Both tiers are needed, and the medium tier alone grants nothing.
SettingRC PotionDefaultDetectedEffectWhich Runecrafting potion you are drinking. Read from chat and from your Runecrafting level, not set here.

Binding · Install

  1. 01Install it from the Plugin Hub. The panel is built from its components and will not load without it.
  2. 02Build it and load it from dist/ as the landing page describes. The built folder already carries the helper files it needs.
  3. 03Grand Exchange price lookups need the internet access permission. Without it the plugin still loads, but no figure has a price behind it.
  4. 04Open it from the ribbon bar icon. It starts hidden, and opens on the Output tab the first time.

Equip the runic attuner before reading anything. The altar, your energy and your Teleport charge are read from it, and without it the energy bonus is never applied. Open Setup and check the detected lines match what you are wearing. They are read from the game and cannot be changed here.

Wards · Limitations

The client cannot draw some characters, so a few are spelled out. A change reads 6.47x to 6.62x rather than using an arrow, and a tilde marks an estimate.

Most pouches and the ethereal outfit are read for how much essence they hold, but not for which type. The plugin assumes the same type as the loose essence you carry, or pure if you carry none. The massive pouch cannot be read at all, so it is assumed full.

One dose per trip. The Runecrafting potions are costed at one dose per trip unless you set Chaining, so for anyone chaining trips the real cost is lower and the advice errs towards SKIP rather than overselling. The powerburst is always costed at one dose per trip.

The extreme potion is priced as materials. It is untradeable, so its price is one super Runecrafting potion plus one spider venom, the one to one recipe. Making it also needs Herblore 91, which the plugin does not check.

Wild Runes is quoted per activation, not per trip. The wiki gives the average value of the runes you get when the perk fires, and the plugin shows that figure unscaled. Its pill reads PER PROC rather than a verdict for exactly that reason. The rank you set drives the activation rate the plugin calculates but does not yet scale the gold figure.

Soul altar figures are approximate. The wiki's multiplier module has no Soul entry, so Soul is treated as flat.

The 50th energy trip pays in experience, and the verdicts cannot see it. Every figure here is gold, so the experience at the end of the cycle counts for nothing in them. That is the one trip where a powerburst and an anima stone are most worth saving and most likely to be called SKIP.

Every binding is assumed to succeed. Failed bindings are real but nothing visible reports one, so every figure is a ceiling rather than an expectation. Worth calling out because most assumptions here lean the other way and understate.

Contradictory setups are allowed. Polishing and Wild Runes sit in a rod's gizmo slots, so either of them on with no binding rod worn describes something impossible. The toggles are taken as your word rather than being interlocked.

Essence and gear are checked again about once a second while the panel is open, and whenever you open it.

The Ourania altar and the Necromantic Rune Temple are not supported.
